Primary Materials/Product FinishesSelect primary material types, including aluminum, carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel or plastic, taking into account climatic or environmental realities. Stock is usually "finish" unless otherwise noted. Hole PatternsIdentify hole size (diameter), hole type (shape), hole center (spacing), and hole arrangement (staggered center, straight center, reverse staggered center) or Ares Engineering series name and number.
Open Area PercentageSelect the desired percentage of open area in the perforated sheet metal or plate.
Margin/End ModeSpecify the solid margin preference on the width and/or length of the sheet if your application requires it. Most stock 11 Gauge and lighters have minimal solid edge margins on the sheet length and no end margins on the sheet width (holes at the end of the material that are cut through). Sheets larger than 11 Gauge typically have finished or unfinished patterns with corresponding end margins.
Product Size, Form and QuantityDetermine the product size, form (usually supplied in sheets), and quantity required, including pieces cut to size. items 3/16 inch or thicker are identified as trays.
